A feasibility cost estimate for the conservation and refurbishment of the engineer's hut Elan Valley
The Engineer’s house, or Pen y Garreg bungalow, is located above Pen y Garreg
dam to the north of Elan Valley. It was built in the 19th century as temporary
accommodation for the project engineers. It is fairly well preserved with some
original internal features such as oil lamps, fi replaces and timber linings.
