Successive owners have carved the building into apartments and bedsits, stripping out almost all of the original Edwardian interior in the process. What was once a coherent, well-detailed villa is now a patchwork of interventions, most of them done with little respect for the building’s character. The intention moving forward is to modernise the house inside and out, restore what remains, and return the building to its original purpose as a single, high-quality residential dwelling.
