The photo was taken in round four of the National Points Series at Woodies Park near Fowey in Cornwall. This was Oscars first Mountain Bike Race of the season as he is concentrating more on the road this season. The course is the toughest in the UK with two big climbs each lap and technical descents strewn with lots of man made features including a challenging rock garden. Oscar was gridded at the back due to lack of ranking points through no racing, his game plan was to make time in the climbs in a controlled way as the heat and climbs took their toll on those who went out too hard. Oscar finished 12th, but was a little disappointed as he had to come into the pits to inflate a softening rear tyre.

He plans on riding the National Mountain Bike championships in July and the Welsh Championships in September.

Next stop is the Welsh Circuit Race Championships in Rhyl on Saturday followed by the Welsh Road Race Championships in Newcastle Emlyn a week later
