Aldi Henbury, Bristol - Handover 17.04.2020

It's been a while since we have updated the blog and this has been due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Cardiff office at Capital Tower was closed on the 16th March due to social distancing government guidelines. The following day by the close of business all of our construction sites closed down. Owen Associates staff were then remote working. After various planning meetings, Arc Bauen our Aldi Construction Managers and our Aldi package contractors have been able to formulate a strategy of working whilst all consideration given to the health and safety of the workforce and their families. The projects have slowed considerably but Food Stores being classed as one of the "essential services" needed to be continued if possible. Aldi Henbury, in Bristol, which is an existing store and was temporally closed due to the construction activities is now due to start trading this Tuesday 21st April 2020. It was 10 days away from handover when the site was shut down and to be handed over and trading 18 days late is a credit to Arc Bauen and their dedicated team.
